l’Adorazione dei Magi di Artemisia Gentileschi
This year, for the annual event ‘Un capolavoro per Milano’, the Museo Diocesano Carlo Maria Martini presents Artemisia Gentileschi’s painting ‘Adorazione dei Magi’, created as part of a cycle of works for the Pozzuoli Cathedral between 1636 and 1637. This work, in addition to being the first public commission done by Artemisia, represents the highest level of artistic expression seen in her career.
Curated by Nadia Righi, Roberto Della Rocca and designed by Alessandro Colombo and Paola Garbuglio in collaboration with Laura Fonti.
